Ordering Corn
We select the highest quality corn, especially our popular popcorn corn. If you order on weekdays before 4:00 PM, you will receive the corn the day after tomorrow.
What is corn?
Corn is officially not a vegetable, but a grain originating from Central America. However, it is often eaten as a vegetable. The kernels grow in cobs, surrounded by large green bracts. Usually, the kernels have a golden-yellow color, but there are also varieties with red, black, blue, or purple hues. Corn is known for its high starch content and soft, sweet taste.
Healthy properties
Corn is rich in fiber and protein, which contributes to healthy digestion. Additionally, it contains a lot of vitamin B, iron, magnesium, and potassium. Thanks to these nutrients, corn is a nutritious choice for both vegetarians and vegans.
Preparing popcorn
Our corn kernels are perfectly suitable for making fresh popcorn yourself.
-
Heat two tablespoons of sunflower oil in a lidded pan.
-
Add a thin layer of corn kernels and stir them through the oil.
-
Close the pan and turn down the heat once popping begins.
-
Shake the pan occasionally and wait until the popping stops.
Then enjoy delicious, freshly popped popcorn.
Storage
Store dried corn in a cool, dry, and dark place in a tightly sealed jar or bag. This way, the corn stays fresh for a long time and prevents the kernels from drying out.
